IS THIS FOR YOU?

We are looking for extraordinary rising junior and senior college students who want to use their gifts to make a kingdom impact, while engaging in a world-class workplace and ministry experience.

ServeHere places students into meaningful internships with local faith-based nonprofits, enabling you to gain valuable workplace experience while contributing to the mission of the nonprofit. The internships are carefully designed to give you a chance to make a real impact, while honing your skills and working with dynamic leaders inside the non-profit organization. We have partnered with organizations with missions we believe in. We trust our interns to be faithfully led, and we believe in the experience offered to our students. You will be held to a standard of excellence.

Our goal for this internship experience is to give you permission to live boldly for Christ and to equip you in the process. This means we give YOU permission to thirst for wisdom and seek direction, so that you might abide in Christ anywhere and everywhere.

Interview Process

We are unashamedly selective about who gets to participate in the ServeHere program. We believe our students to be the next generation of world changers, and we have designed the program mobilize this generation to live on mission wherever they are.

  1. Application reviewed to make sure student aligns with the ServeHere qualifications
  2. Phone interview: Initial interview to get to know the students heart for service, faith journey, and gifts/ major.
  3. In-person interview with Program Director: Deep dive into life direction, interest in where to intern, how gifts fit into the role.
  4. Non- Profit meeting: ServeHere meets with NP partner to assess needs for that current semester if it still fits, then we move forward
  5. Non-profit & Applicant intro and Interview: We introduce the applicant to the non-profit we’ve seen as a good fit.  The intern goes to the non-profit’s office and interviews with them about the position.
  6. Both sides pray and discern and if both sides feel this is a good fit, then the non-profit will extend an offer
  7. The real work begins!
Between each one of these steps is a *pause* to pray.
This process is not like others. Sometimes, finding the right student for the right job takes time. Often, the interview process is where God begins His work in our interns. The process requires surrender, patience, and prayer - it’s not meant to be easy!

We will never accept a student just to fill a spot. Every step of the way, we are praying, and we are asking our applicants to pray. When a student is accepted it means that all of these things have lined up:

  1. The students has displayed a mature faith, a hard work ethic, and a strong desire to serve God
  2. The desire of the student meets the need of the non-profit partner
  3. Schedules & timing align
  4. ServeHere, the student, and the non-profit are mutually confident about the match after prayer
